Well since my blog about my new years resolutions which you can view here, I have been very hard on making one of my goals become a reality........
~ Number 7 ~ To run a succesful market
Now obviously it is not exactly successful yet as it hasn't even started my first opening launch being in just 3 weeks!!! Eeeeek!
but lots of organising has begun! After sitting with my gorgeous friend Annie, who was the original co-ordinator of the Mount Barker Market, she decided that it was time to move on to other projects and focus on other careers while also running her beautiful Beachside Childrens Market.
And this is how the Once Upon A Market was born!
Annie and I sat down and decided that the Mount Barker Market needed a new direction and new vision. So a new venue was chosen in the beautiful Littlehampton and we worked together to come up with a new name! "Once Upon A Market" which is absolutely perfect due to my love of fairytales :)
So far it has been a lot of work and it is just the beginning BUT I am loving every minute.....the extra interaction with some gorgeous and talented stall-holders and the joy of sharing my excitement and adventure with everyone!
Now I have started one venture for 2012 I hope all the others slowly fall into place as well! :) which I believe the keeping fit resolution may be coming up very soon as I head out to advertise the market putting up banners, delivering flyers and putting up posters!
I am soooo excited!
And I truly hope I can make this market a successful one and create a family event that will bring a community together!
