Downfall

All i can say is WOW! this movie was highly intense and i had to put my hand to my mouth in shock every 10 minutes even though i knew what was going to happen to all the characters.

At first i didn't like Bruno Ganz who played Hitler. He just didn't seem right...he didn't seem like a proper Hitler but after watching the film more he melded into the character so well it was uncanny. Brilliant acting. The film tells the story of the final days of Hitler in 1945 when the Russian army is advancing on the city of Berlin. The story is told from Hitler's personal secretary Traudl Junge's perspective.

I can't wait to read the book! (which i have just borrowed from my library) will let you know what i think :D

If you are interested in history, war or just the Hitler story this a great film to watch.
