30 Day Blog Challenge - Day 17

Your celebrity crush

Ok. This post is super hard because seriously, I have so many celebrity crushes that I can't just pick one. I have celebrity crushes on Jimmy Fallon, Al Pacino, Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron even Lawrence Mooney the list goes on and on and on. But here are a bunch of photos of my absolute faves that I would cry if they came to my town and I didn't see them............Be warned the list is long...........oh and you're welcome :p

This crush is the longest lasting crush. I was only 8 and I'm still crushing on them now. Robbie Williams and Mark Owen.......sigh

A more recent crush, Mr Tom 'I'm so dreamy' Hardy. My mum made me watch Wuthering Heights on dvd one day and oh my gosh did I love him in that. Ever since then any movie with him in is fine by me. He is certainly my favourite in This Means War and Lawless and I love love love his voice in Batman.

Another recent crush is Benedict Cumberbatch. Just one word. Sherlock. His accent, his clothes, his grin, his goofy classy ways. Need I say more.

Joseph Gordon Levitt. This kid I used to have on my wall when I was a teen because I thought he was cute in Third Rock from the Sun......and then 10 Things I Hate About You came out and I was happy happy. After that I didn't see much of him until I was an adult and then BAM! JGL went from cute to HOT!

Michael Madsen is so hardcore I love him. He is the tough guy in movies that you want protecting you and I can't get enough. I have always loved the bad guy feel about him but when I saw him play the Dad in Free Willy.......I was hooked.

Normally I'm not a fan of tattoos all over guys.......but Adam Levine makes them hot hot hot!

Robert Downey Jnr is another one I have had a crush on since I was a kid. Ever since I watched Heart and Souls but it wasn't until he appeared in Ally Mcbeal that I thought of him as potential marriage material haha. Enough said.
Jude Law is also a crush of mine, it's the voice and the hair and the cheekiness :p
David Tennant. My god the accent, the smile, the dreaminess............
Enough said.

Jonny Depp is a HUGE crush that actually invades my bedroom and makes my husband roll his eyes. I have almost EVERY dvd starring Johnny. I have statues and dolls, Pez, headbands, badges, books, movie posters and even a jack sparrow blanket.

Lastly we have Mr Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Another man worthy of marriage material in my opinion. Cute cute and cute. The grin does it for me :p and it all started with Grey's Anatomy and you don't wanna know how many times I have watched the Accidental Husband.

30 Day Blog Challenge - Day 16

A photo of you and your family

I like today's post idea because my family is the greatest thing I have ever had in my life and I love sharing them with the world so that you can all see how super lucky I am. This is the four of us in February went we went on a family holiday to Bali and we visited a coffee plantation.

I seriously couldn't have asked for a better family!

30 Day Blog Challenge - Day 15

Something you don't leave your house without.

Today's post is a bit boring because there are a few things I never leave the house without like my keys, phone and wallet but I can leave the house without them and I wouldnt feel terrible or anxious or lost. I would just be like "meh, i don't need them today"

However one thing that I do get funny about if I leave the house without it is my wedding rings. I don't feel right without them and so I get quite frustated if I leave them behind. Like a piece of me is missing and I can't concentrate or feel myself until I get them back. Sounds silly because it is just a ring and obviously when I get back home they are just going to be there waiting for me but yeah it just makes me feel funny. I think there has only been one time since I got married that I spent the day without them and it was because I took them off to make a pastry pie crust and then had to run out the door for an event. That day I couldn't concentrate on anything and I was dying to get home and put them back on haha.

Crazy me!

Anyone else feel this way with their wedding rings?? or another item maybe??

30 Day Blog Challenge - Day 14

A TV show you're currently addicted to.

Afternoon Lovelies,

Let's talk TV shows. The most addictive things in my life. Seriously.

I get so addicted to TV shows it is not even funny and I go through phases so I normally can't watch them on TV every week I am one of those people that waits and watches box sets for days on end. I just love it more. A couple of months ago it was Greys Anatomy. I started from the very start and watched them all over again, day after day. The last few years I have been obsessed with lots of different shows.

Downton Abbey, True Blood, Being Human, Game of Thrones, Desperate Housewives, Utopia, Fargo, Hustle, Secret Diary of a Call Girl, Doctor Who, Sherlock, Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, American Horror Story, Dexter, Revenge, Glee, Boardwalk Empire, Midsomer Murders..........

My list will go on and on and on I have seen that many TV shows. Some I have watched every episode, some I am still getting through and some I get bored of.

At the moment I am currently addicted to Sons of Anarchy!

I have been watching it the last week and I am obsessed. Almost finished the first season and I can't get enough. I am hooked. I wish I was as hardcore as the Mum in this show.......I just so want to be bad ass hahahaha. So yep that's the latest obsession. I have a lot to catch up on but i'm sure soon I will be obsessed with something new.

What are your favourite TV shows?? Let me know in the comments so I can find new addictions :P

30 Day Blog Challenge - Day 13

Your favourite musician and why?

Yep! Didn't even have think about the answer to this question because it is without a doubt Robbie Williams ALL the way. Anyone who knows me can answer this question for me. Robbie has been my favourite musician EVER since I was 8 years old and he will still be my favourite when I'm 108 years old. Why???

Well that's easy to answer as well. When I was 8 years old I was given a Video Tape of a concert by the greatest band alive, Take That (even to this day they are my favourite band). I had never seen them before but somebody thought I might like them. I watched that video every day for months. I was in love. Robbie Williams was in the band and let's just say that he was my favourite from that first day (followed closely by Mark Owen). Simple as that. I was devastated when he left Take That but not long after the solo career started and I was happy once again. I have every album and dvd from him and I even have the Take That, Robbie Williams doll. You will find bits of Robbie merch all over my house, despite my husbands eye rolling haha.

I can't wait for October when I get to go and see him live again. Excitement overload.

30 Day Blog Challenge - Day 12

A photo of the town you live in

Today's blog is a quick and easy one. I live in a little suburb south of the city of Adelaide. This picture was taken when the Hubby and I went on a little city date into the city of Adelaide. It was a fun day which included some op shopping and lunch at the yummiest burger bar, Burger Theory. yum yum yum!! Can't get enough.

I took this picture when we parked the car in the high rise car park and the view between the safety bars was so good that I just had to get a snapshot. I absolutely love going into the city and I hope that one day I can live closer so I can explore it more often.

30 Days of Blogging - Day 11

What's in your makeup bag?

I have a couple of makeup bags in my life but today I will be showing you what's in my handbag's make up bag because it gets used the most in my travels. All of my make up is in plastic makeup cases/holders that I got from Target. Then I have a make up bag for all my nail polishes and accessories and then I have a spare make up bag with things I don't use everyday or for spares. Lastly I have my travel make up bag which I actually made all by myself on my sewing machine.

My Marilyn Monroe Make Up Bag:

Inside is:

Rexona Invisible Dry Aqua Roll On
Maybelline Great Lash (I only use this one for touch ups if needed for my normal make up I use Maybelline Pumped Up Colossal)
NYX butter gloss, Devils food cake (i'm in absolute love with butter glosses)
Tweezers
Hair clips
Bobby Pins
Panty Liners
Hello Kitty hand cream (i love it because it's tiny and I can take it anywhere)

I also usually have band aids, lip balm and a little mirror but I lost my mirror and I have run out of lip balm and band aids. Off to the shop I go........

30 Days of Blogging - Day 10

A photo of your favourite place to eat

Good Morning Sunshines

Today's post is a wee bit exciting. I love sharing cool places to visit, especially when it involves yummy food and this place is the BEST!! I'm not even joking.

Eggless Dessert Bar is on Goodwood Rd in Adelaide and I swear if I was rich I would just go here every day after dinner. The place is funky, cool, hip,  with vegan and gluten free options and it is jam packed with just desserts, teas and coffees.

The best part about this place is the owners. They are freaking adorable and funny. They sure know how to serve customers. The second best part is that the dessert menu changes every month without fail......yikes! I don't know how they do it but they are on a winner. The place i always packed and most times when you arrive you have to put your name on the door with a number. The owners give you a buzz when a table is ready but it is worth the waiting. We normally just hang in the car with friends while we wait but Eggless has chairs, heaters and blankets for you if you just want to wait out the front........winning!

If you haven't checked this place out yet and you are in Adelaide........please, please do yourself a favour!!

30 Day Blog Challenge - Day 9

A photo of the last item you purchased

Well yesterday morning I was finding it really hard to find any black socks to wear to work. Basically I work too many days a week and don't have enough pairs of socks so by the end of the week I end up with either mismatched socks or one dirty and one clean sock. I'm sure you know my struggle.

So on my lunch break at work I walked over to Target and bought a 5 pack of little black socks. Nothing special and certainly nothing exciting but there you go. That was the last item I purchased.

P.s in actual fact I am the biggest lover of socks. Any socks. Buy me socks for Christmas and I will love you! For real.......stripey socks, fluffy socks, slipper socks, rainbow socks I love them all. (I even have Harry Potter socks)

30 Day Blog Challenge - Day 8

A song and photo to match your mood

Yep i'm having one of those "Don't stop me" days!! For some reason I woke up at 3am in the morning and I was so ready to go it wasn't even funny. I was out of bed, showered, dressed and face on by 5am and.......wait for it..........

I was at the supermarket by 6am doing the weekly food shop. Something I have never done so early before. Then I came home packed away the shopping and I was out the door and in the car on my way to work by 7am! phew.

My whole day just ran SO smoothly today and everything worked out in my favour. I only had $5 on me and I really wanted to grab an iced coffee on the way to work as well as a take 5 magazine so I could do some crosswords in the boring patches at work. Well that wasn't gonna happen so I just went in the service station intending to just grab the iced coffee. This is where my good luck all started because the extra strong iced coffee's i like had just been marked down to just $2 which meant I was able to get both the mag and the drink.

Happy Days!! :D The rest of my day just flowed and I didn't stop smiling. I'm now on a mission to try and find the good in everyday and to get up early in the morning from now on. Maybe not 3am every day but i'm hoping for a 5.30am just to get up and at 'em!

So despite the dreary cloudy weather today in Adelaide, on the inside I was having a sunshiny day :D

30 Day Blog Challenge - Day 6 & 7

I was quite sick yesterday so I missed out on yesterday's blog writing. Therefore I am combining yesterday's and today's blog for you.

Day 6

A photo of an animal you would like to keep as a pet

Yep if I could choose anything in the world to have as a pet it would be a Red Panda. No questions asked. I think these guys are sooooooo freaking adorable and I get super excited when I see them at the zoo. Love them! Look at the face and fluffy tail. How could you not want one.

Day 7

Your dream wedding
I already had my dream wedding with my dream guy and my dream family and I was incredibly happy with how the whole day went it ws basically a dream come true. The only thing I would really change is that I wish all the new friends I have made in the last were my friends when I was getting married as I would have loved to have them in my wedding. Apart from that my wedding was an absolute fairytale :D

30 Day Blog Challenge Day 5

A photo of yourself 2 years ago

Here is little old me with my longer hair, (that I kind of miss) 2 years ago when my husband and I road tripped to Melbourne for a weekend of fun. It was a spontaneous trip. I said I was bored at 11pm at night and my husband asked what I wanted to do. I joked "let's drive to Melbourne" and half an hour later we had packed a bag and we were off.

Best road trip ever!
This photo was taken in Melbourne museum at the Pharlap display.

30 Day Blog Challenge - Day 4

Favourite photograph of your best friend!

My best friend Amber is the greatest!! I call her Cucumber and we only met a year ago but it feels like we have known each other forever. This photo was taken on my birthday a few months ago which was 80's themed (of course) and I had the coolest birthday cake which had a topless David Hasselhoff on it from Baywatch hahaha. Best birthday cake ever.

This photo is my favourite of the two of us crazy girls. Unfortunately we don't get to see each other every day now because Cucumber had to move back to her home in New Zealand unexpectedly. It has been sad without her but I know we will be seeing each other again in a couple years when she moves back and i'll be heading over for her wedding as well. We will always be besties though no matter what!!

Love her guts!

30 Day Blog Challenge - Day 3

My Favourite Store

Okay today's blog post was way too hard for a shopaholic such as myself. I have way too many favourite stores. Some I have been going to for years and years like Angus & Robertson or Jbhifi, some are just shops I only go to when I'm feeling rich like Forever New or Peter Alexander and then there are the cute little shops that I have only just discovered and can't wait to shop at more and more like T2 (oh my gosh I could spend ALL day in there) or Typo or a super cool shop in the city called Quirky Styling. Then of course there is any shop in existence that sells books or baking supplies.

After thinking of all my favourite stores I did finally choose a top favourite. I originally heard about this shop on Zoella and Tanya Burr's vlogs on YouTube which I watch everyday. They were showing some of their favourite items of the month and both showed items from a shop called Lush. A lot of the time they show items from shops that they just don't have in Adelaide and I get quite sad. Other times you can order online but the postage doesn't make it worth it. I was convinced they wouldn't have such a shop in Adelaide so I just forgot about all those cool looking bath bombs and carried on with life. Then on a trip to Rundle Mall my daughter stopped us and pointed at a store asking if we could go in because she had heard lots about it..........and there it was........Lush!

I was so happy and a few weeks ago my husband and I went on a date in the city and ended the night by going in and buying my very first bath bomb! I was so excited and I absolutely loved it!! I am planning on going back to get some more bath bombs and I just heard that they also do face masks so I'm planning a trip very soon :)

Therefore, just for now Lush is my favourite store

30 Day Blog Challenge - Day 2

A photo of something you ate today!

Well today's post is pretty simple. I actually spent all day thinking about it despite the simplicity of it. I couldn't decide what to show you as I had a pretty boring day food wise. This is quite unusual for me because most days I'm all excited about making food but I had a busy day and I wasn't keen on making anything too fancy. I had raisin toast for brekky in my rush to get out the door at 7am for work. Lunch I whipped up some scrambled eggs on toast with baked beans on the side. So in the end it was down to dinner to save the day.

My kids had a school music night on so dinner had to be quick. I whipped up this yummy chicken and mushroom pie. It is a huge hit in my house and it is so easy to make. Just grab a cooked whole roast chicken (I grabbed a coles brand one) remove the skin and shred in a bowl. Fry some onion and mushrooms, throw in a tin or two of cream of mushroom soup (or if you love cooking like me and have time, I make my own mushroom soup) depending on how saucy you want it add a little water and cook until starting to thicken. Pour over your bowl of shredded chicken and mix. Then just grab some pastry and form pies.

So quick so easy and so yummy!!

30 Day Blog Challenge - Day 1

So I am attempting another 30 day blog challenge. I am really bad at these things but I can't just give up, right?? That would be silly so despite my past fails I am attempting the challenge again.

I found this challenge on Pinterest and it looked simple and fun so I thought why not?

https://www.pinterest.com/pin/162411130288741470/

Day 1 - A photo of yourself and a description of your day

Ok so i'm cheating a bit here because i'm quite stressed today and I look it, so I found a photo of me on my Facebook that I don't think I have shared here before so here you go.

This is the Hubby and I with Lawrence Mooney from late last year. We got to meet him after we went to see him live in Adelaide. It was a fantastic show and I am a huge Mooney fan so I was super excited to meet him. He is funny as hell and I get so excited when I see him in anything on TV. A few months ago we met him again in Adelaide for the Fringe Festival and I got another photo with him and a hug! YAY! Gotta love the Mooney....

OK back on track. A description of my day.
I'm not very good at describing my days as my days are quite boring the majority of the time. I really need to change things cause i'm getting stuck in a rut and it's killing me. Basically today I went to work, making coffees all morning. I was lucky enough to finish at 1pm so I was really naughty and popped into Hungry Jacks to grab some lunch. So bad and I felt terrible afterwards. I swear you can actually feel the badness entering your system as you chew. Ugh! I really need to get back on track with my healthy eating.

After work I had an annoying drive home with people not doing the speed limit and taking forever to do any maneuver.....sigh. Yeah I have bad road grumpiness, I don't call it rage because well i'm just not that crazy but i'm certainly grumpy.

The rest of my day was just the usual hhousework, cooking dinner etc etc. This is where all the stress entered my day. I just get so frustrated and upset when I am left with so much to do. Like working isn't enough but I have to finish everything for everyone as well everyday. It gets tiring and I know I chose to be a mother and so taking on exra responsibility is part of the job description, but my kids are older now and should be capable of just a little extra. I don't know, maybe i'm just crazy. It just really upsets me some days and today was one of those days.

Anyway that was pretty much my basic boring day. Oh we had Italian Meatball and Macaroni Soup for dinner - just in case you were wondering and for the rest of the evening I plan on reading my new novel, An Abundance of Katherines by John Green. I'm half way through so I will tell you what I think when I finally finish it.

Until tomorrow,
Ciao
xx
